University College Dublin

Established in 1854, University College Dublin (UCD) has educated students for over 160 years. Located in the capital city of Dublin, students can enjoy all this culturally rich city has to offer. From hiking trails, beaches, and mountains to museums, theatres, and historic pubs—there’s something for everyone! Not to mention that in 2020, Condé Nast Traveller listed Dublin as one of Europe’s friendliest cities, making it a welcoming destination for international students.

UCD enrolls over 8,500 international students from 130 countries. This makes UCD a great option if you’re looking for an institution with a large international student community. The institution has also consistently carved out a spot as one of Europe’s leading research universities, and ranks within the top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide

The accolades don’t end there. UCD ranks as the number two university in Ireland in the US News & World Report’s Best Global University Rankings, and was The Sunday Times Irish University of the Year in 2020. In terms of post-graduate success, you’ll be excited to learn that UCD ranked number one in Ireland for graduate employability from 2018 to 2020.

Maynooth University

Located in Kildare, only 25 kilometers outside of Dublin, Maynooth University is situated in a historic town filled with a vibrant culture. Established in 1997, Maynooth is the nation’s fastest-growing university.
