ApplyBoard Ends Busy April With ICEF Vancouver and CAPS-I Visits
One of our many goals for 2019 has been to establish more of a presence at industry events. Following a week of celebration that included a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and an office grand opening, ApplyBoard was in attendance for both ICEF Vancouver and CAPS-I. Here are the highlights:
Members of the ApplyBoard Sales and Marketing Team got the chance to attend ICEF Vancouver from April 24 – 26. The three day event brought North American educators and student recruitment agents together to discuss the Canadian and US markets. Our senior leadership team took part in informative one-on-one meetings with our valued partner schools and agents, while Sales and Marketing had the chance to field questions from our show-floor booth.
To close out the week, we co-hosted an after party with StudyInsured. Over 130 attendees joined us for live music and fun at the Butcher and Bullock in Downtown Vancouver.
The following week, ApplyBoard was able to attend the Canadian Association of Public Schools – International’s Annual Conference. Held at the Fairmont Hotel in Winnipeg, MB from Sunday, April 28 to Tuesday, April 30, CAPS-I gave our company the opportunity to discuss the K-12 international student market directly with Canadian secondary schools.
ApplyBoard co-founders Martin and Meti Basiri manned the show floor together, and Meti also gave a presentation to attendees. Focusing on the role Advanced Technology plays in International Student Enrolment, the presentation shed light on emerging trends in the K-12 market.
