In this advanced photography courses, students will explore a chosen photographic discipline where projects will be based on their choice of specialization. This can include fashion, food, architecture, product and portrait photography. As a result, they will graduate with a professional portfolio that aligns with their career goals.
Students will gain advanced photography and post-production skills, such as colour management strategies, still and motion imagery, lighting techniques and studio and location environments in both printed and online presentation formats.
Students will also learn industry business practices, marketing, job pricing and workflows for photography and video projects, working with clients and stakeholders. Fanshawe College’s on-campus creative service centre provides photography and video production to the local community, and is a hands-on entrepreneurial experience for students of the program.
Throughout the year, students make industry connections through field trips to meet with various photography professionals and visit trade shows and conferences to research new products and future trends in photography.
