Program Description
This professional two-year Ontario College Diploma program will set students up for a successful professional office administration career. Designed to provide students will an extensive and practical understanding of business operations, technology and processes, they will:
- Learn how to oversee budgets, supervise and train others, organize meetings and make travel arrangements,
- Gain skills to plan conferences, research ideas and produce professional documents and reports,
- Develop organizational skills, technical computer skills and enhance verbal and written communication skills,
- Study the importance of leadership while attending meetings at the London chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, where students will network with professional office administration contacts in the industry, and
- Gain valuable, hands-on experience during two paid co-op work terms.
Upon graduation, students will be prepared to pursue the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) designation. They will also earn courses toward a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA).
