Location: Tenby Harbour, Pembrokeshire

Tenby Harbour is a destination for people of all ages to enjoy. This is no surprise, considering the range of attractions this harbour holds. Tucked away in the county of Pembrokeshire, this beautiful corner of the UK is bound by breathtaking coastlines on three sides.

Many folks find themselves lounging on the harbour’s golden beaches, or hopping on a boat to take in the panoramic views of Caldey Island. After spending some time at the beach, we suggest heading into town for a delicious meal and drink at one of the many restaurants and cafes.

Looking for something a bit more adventurous? If so, don’t cross this spot off your list just yet. You can rent a kayak, surfboard, or bodyboard to explore the waters in an exhilarating way! And, if you’re up to it, make a stop at Wales’ biggest theme park afterwards. At Oakwood Theme Park, you can enjoy treetop walks, thrilling rides, and waterslides.

Whatever you end up doing in Tenby, you’ll be sure to have a blast!

2. Northern Ireland

Location: Giant’s Causeway, Antrim Coast

Check out the Giant’s Causeway, located at the foot of the Basalt Cliffs on the edge of the Antrim plateau. This natural wonder is like nothing you’ve ever seen before, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you arrive, you’ll see 40,000 black basalt rock columns jutting upwards out of the sea. This breathtaking sight has inspired stories of giants walking over the water to Scotland, hence the name. However, if you prefer a more scientific explanation, this unusual landscape was caused by volcanic activity 50 to 60 million years ago.

The Giant’s Causeway is an enormous attraction. To help you make the most of your visit, we’ve shared our top must-see landmarks below:

  • Grand Causeway
  • Giant’s Boot
  • Wishing Chair
  • The Camel
  • Clifftop Trails

Once you’ve finished exploring all the Giant’s Causeway offers, stop by the Visitor Centre. Their shop is the perfect place to pick up a souvenir, and the centre’s cafe will certainly have a tasty treat waiting for you!
