In Community Music, students will learn and experience the benefits of introducing music into different settings within a range of community contexts. Through creative songwriting, improvisation and group performance, Wilfrid Laurier University teachers will pass on the leadership and musicianship skills for students to facilitate community music. Community Music can lead to a range of rewarding careers within the music industry and beyond.
Throughout all four years students will be performing, learning and improving their musicianship. Small group instruction and large ensemble work is available to all students.
Students must choose one of the subjects of major interest at the time of application from the following:

Management Option:
The fundamentals of business are at the heart of any organization and many careers. While students complete their degree in an Arts, Economics, Science or Music program, Wilfrid Laurier University Management Option will provide students with an understanding of the core principles of the business world, including accounting, marketing, human resources, operations, policy, and finance. Students will take courses such as Understanding the Business Environment; Introduction to Financial Accounting; Introduction to Microeconomics or Macroeconomics; and Statistics.
