The Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP) offers successful students guaranteed progression to the University of Southampton. This program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Southampton.
This program includes English and three academic subject modules. There are three academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Art and Design.
The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences explores a subject that is at the forefront of medical science, looking at the mechanisms of life and the causes of disease. Graduates will study a broad range of specialist topics. The University of Southampton's world-renowned research facilities and teaching staff will prepare them for a career in clinical research, medicine or beyond.
Biomedical science provides advances in vital areas, including:
- investigating potential treatments for Alzheimer’s disease
- finding the causes of cystic fibrosis
- improving people's understanding and treatment of cancer.
