We are pleased to announce that ApplyBoard recently raised C$55 million in Series B funding! California-based investment firm Anthos Capital led the round, with participation from previous investors including Artiman Ventures, who led our Series A in 2018.

This investment will enable our company to further develop its AI-powered platform and accelerate expansion into new markets, advancing our mission of making education accessible to students around the world. To help support this growth, ApplyBoard will be looking to hire more than 100 new employees worldwide over the next year!

“At ApplyBoard, we believe education is a right, not a privilege. Everything we do revolves around putting students first,” said Martin Basiri, Co-Founder and CEO of ApplyBoard. “Our dedication to making a difference in students’ lives is evident by the tremendous growth we’ve experienced in the past four years. I am incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished and look forward to continuing our momentum with this new investment.”

“ApplyBoard has revolutionized the application process for international education,” said Paul Farr, Managing Director of Anthos. “Thousands of global students have obtained a quality education, and high schools, colleges, and universities are benefiting from a diverse applicant pool as a result of ApplyBoard’s innovative platform. We are proud to partner with a company that’s making a profound positive impact.”

ApplyBoard was launched in 2015 by three former international students who experienced the complexities and frustrations of pursuing post-secondary education in North America. Our proprietary platform assists students with every step of the application process, from program and institution selection to obtaining a visa. With the help of our knowledgeable recruitment partners and extensive review process, students have a 95 percent chance of receiving an offer letter from our partner schools in Canada and the USA.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank our investment partners for their continued belief in our mission. Without your help, we would not have been able to help more than 45,000 students with their applications or built relationships with over 1,200 secondary and post-secondary institutions over the past four years. With this new Series B funding, ApplyBoard is better positioned than ever to continue being the world leader in providing access to international education.
