About Integrated Master of Engineering - Electronic Engineering (H610)
Electronic engineers are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the creation of various electronic devices and systems, ranging from drones and electric cars to smartphones, sat navs, and hospital equipment. The course offered provides students with multiple opportunities to enhance their understanding of electronics. Students will engage in lab-based projects, both individually and in small teams, to develop their project management skills and apply their technical knowledge to problem-solving. With the rapidly evolving nature of electronics technology, graduates will possess the confidence to innovate, comprehend, and advance electronic systems in the future. The course also equips students with the necessary engineering expertise for a career in engineering or various other professions.
Undergraduate students in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering initially follow a common program of study. They have the flexibility to switch to a different plan until the end of their third semester in year two. Additionally, students have the option to include or exclude a year abroad or a year in industry after enrolling in the course. By the third year, students can specialize in their preferred topics that align with their career aspirations.
For those who receive an offer at the MEng level, a contextual offer for the BEng version of the course will be included. This means that if the required results to meet the MEng offer are not achieved, but the requirements for the BEng version of the chosen course are met, the student will automatically be offered a place in the BEng version of the course.
