International Year One - Undergraduate Pathway - Business Management and Economics (3-Semester Pathway) Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honors) - International Business Management

The International Year One in Business Management and Economics prepares students for direct entry to Year 2 of an undergraduate degree at Norwich Business School or the School of Economics at UEA. 

Students will explore theories through case studies and real-world business scenarios. They'll develop skills and knowledge through practical-based projects and assignments. Learners will have the opportunity to get actively involved in discussions and contribute their ideas.

On successful completion of International Year One in Business Management and Economics, students will progress to the second year of BA (Hons) International Business Management degree. It will give learners a clear understanding of the complexities of managing business on an international scale.  

Students will compare and contrast business environments across the globe, encompassing both developed and emerging markets. They'll develop a good understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in different regions of the world, and will become adept at critiquing the global strategies of firms. They'll learn to assess market potential and risks in different markets, recommend market entry strategies for firms willing to explore new international markets, manage a culturally diverse work force, and manage globally dispersed supply chains and operations. 

The BA (Hons) International Business Management course will equip students to pursue career options in a wide range of industries, in large MNCs, government departments, small and medium-sized firms (public or private). Alternatively, graduates could start their own business, or progress to a research degree in the field.
