Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - Politics with a Year Abroad

Are you interested in how parliament functions, climate change politics, or AI's societal role? Do student wish to critically analyze current political issues in the UK and globally? If yes, BA Politics with a Placement Year is for them. Student will typically spend 9-12 months in a work placement during your third year, gaining essential real-world experience and skills.

At UEA, we adopt a global approach to politics. Student can explore modules on politics in various regions, including the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, or delve into topics like activism, media, and gender. Regardless of their interests, they will engage with contemporary issues to become an informed global citizen.

Student will engage in challenging discussions with peers and academics, supported by a dedicated team of researchers.

Beyond the classroom, we offer numerous activities, including internships, placements, debates, blog and podcast contributions, and opportunities to study abroad. We also host a speaker series with academics and politicians discussing current political topics.

During this time with us, they will enhance critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills. Our graduates pursue diverse careers in government, the Civil Service, consultancy, NGOs, media, journalism, PR, and further education.
