About Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) - English Literature with a Placement Year
English Literature course at UEA's School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing is flexible, allowing studnet to pursue the literary interests while providing a solid foundation in diverse writing styles. School tutors, specializing in literature from medieval to modern times, will enhance the understanding of familiar authors and introduce to new texts and writers.
BA English Literature modules are assessed through 100% coursework, with passionate lecturers guiding student critical writing and analysis. Seminars feature friendly discussions, and guided learning exercises support the studies outside the classroom.
On this course, student will normally spend 9-12 months of the third year* on placement, gaining experience and practical knowledge in an area of the choosing relevant to English literature. Student will be expected to seek the own work placement with the support of UEA’s Career Central Service and the School.
