Arts is a first-year studies option that lets students explore social science and humanities program areas before applying to their program of choice for their second year. All courses that students successfully complete in the Arts program will be credited to the selected Toronto Metropolitan University major. Students can also choose electives from a wide range of areas including marketing, human resources and business – many of which can lead to a minor.
During the UTP Stage II: Arts program students will study courses that introduce them to a wide range of disciplines including psychology, philosophy, politics and environment. Following the completion of Arts - UTP Stage II, including maintaining academic good standing and achieving any program-specific CGPA, students will progress to their chosen major at Toronto Metropolitan University, where they can continue with their Bachelor of Arts program in one of the following areas of study:
- Environmental and Urban Sustainability
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Philosophy and Politics and Governance
