Community Engagement Scholarships

Eligibility

• Be currently enrolled as full-time students (minimum 3 credit hours).
• Have successfully completed all courses with competencies in their current program during the semester immediately prior to the scholarship award semester.
• Have no outstanding fees on their student account.
• Not have previously received an Academic Distinction or Academic Merit scholarship, nor had any Navitas scholarship or bursary withdrawn.
• Not be receiving another Navitas scholarship in the same semester; if shortlisted for multiple scholarships, only the one of greatest value will be awarded.

Scholarship Value and Conditions

• The scholarship award is $250, credited directly to the student’s tuition account for the semester of study.
• It applies only to undergraduate academic studies completed at TMUIC.
• Students remain responsible for paying any remaining semester course fees.
• The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be backdated.
• Navitas member institutions reserve the right to withhold awarding some or all scholarships in any given year.

Selection Criteria

• Active participation in improving and promoting a positive student experience at TMUIC during the previous semester.
• Demonstration of Navitas core values, including:
  • Conviction to purpose and potential
  • Drive to achieve and advance together
  • Adventurous mindset and spirit
  • Rigour in enhancing professional reputation and credibility
  • Genuine behavior and delivery
  • Respect for people and the environment

Application Process and Notification

• Students do not need to apply; scholarships are awarded through nomination by TMUIC staff or Student Leader Managers based on community engagement.
• Recipients are announced after each semester’s completion and course registration period for the following term.
• Notifications are sent via email and published on the college/campus website.
