Master of Arts (Honours) - French and English Literature (RQ13)

French is considered a major world language, with its presence felt across various regions in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Throughout history, the Francophone world, alongside English-speaking cultures, has had a significant impact on global literature.

The primary objective of this joint honors program is to cultivate critical, analytical, linguistic, and creative skills by immersing students in a diverse selection of texts in both English and French. Students will also be exposed to various approaches to reading, enhancing their understanding and interpretation abilities.

Furthermore, the University of Edinburgh language programs offer exceptional flexibility. During the first and second years, students have the opportunity to select option courses from a wide range of disciplines, in addition to their core subjects.
