The university provides opportunities to develop students' global and social network, setting them up for success at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and into the future.
To ensure students get the best start to their studies, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology has invested in careers counselling, academic and welfare support for international students to access when and where it suits them.
Associate Degree in Aviation - Professional Pilots - Bendigo Campus:
Students will gain the practical and theoretical skills they need to achieve the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) certification as a Commercial Pilot to start their career in the sky.
Students have the option to study at Point Cook Campus or at new Campus at Bendigo.
RMIT Flight Training has successfully trained over 3,000 pilots since 1994. Students will be well-situated for employment given the continuing shortage of pilots and flight instructors in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
In this flight training qualification students will develop the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for a recreational pilot license (RPL), a private pilot license (PPL) and gain the aeronautical knowledge, practical skills and appropriate behaviors required to achieve the CASA certification as a Commercial Pilot. In the final semester they will have a choice between instrument rating (IREX) with a frozen Air Transport Pilot license (ATPL) or Instructor Rating (FIR).
