Foundation Studies - Engineering and Science: Foundation Studies is delivered by the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Training, a fully owned entity of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University. Associate Degree - Engineering Technology:
Graduates may work in a range of fields including aerospace, civil and structures, computer and networks, electronics design, electrical systems and automation, mechatronics, mechanical design and product development.
In the first year, students will learn fundamental principles of engineering that apply across different areas of engineering. At the end of the first year, students will select their major, choosing between:
- advanced manufacturing and mechatronics
- aerospace engineering
- civil engineering
- computer and network engineering
- electrical and electronics engineering
- mechanical engineering
Students will choose subjects relevant to their engineering major and undertake a real-world project to design, develop, and present a product. Upon graduating from this program students may be eligible for entry into the relevant bachelor degree program or they can work in a relevant field.
