This Primary with SEND (5-11) PGCE is an exceptional opportunity for anyone interested in progressing their teaching career in a specialist SEND setting, or as an SEND specialist in mainstream schools, becoming a SENDCo or Inclusion Leader in the future. The school work closely in partnership with a range of specialist SEND schools who will provide a breadth of expertise to enrich your experience as a trainee. Student will have the opportunity to observe and work closely with expert SEND practitioners as part of the second placement.
By the end of this primary education with SEND course student will be assessed for accreditation with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), which is the essential professional accreditation for all teachers.
Our PGCE trainees attain high results with almost 100% passing the course, and very high rates of employment. Many of our trainees gain employment in their placement schools. We are well connected with a range of partnership schools and have excellent long standing relationships with diverse settings across London.
This Primary with SEND course also offers student's the opportunity to gain experience as a mainstream teacher, enabling them to gain QTS and giving them the ability to choose where to work. Student will receive expert tuition supporting them throughout both the mainstream and SEND placements.
