3-Term Pathway - International Incorporated Bachelor's (IIB) - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - Business Economics with Marketing and Politics

The IS1 program is the equivalent of the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This pathway is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within business and economics. Participants will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee. Studied across three terms, students will proceed directly to year two of their degree course at the University of Dundee upon completion of the pathway.

Business Economics with Marketing and Politics

Business Economics focuses on economic concepts, theories, and principles, examining how these are applied to various business activities within organizations and across the broader business world.

Students will develop a strong understanding of the role of marketing in today’s multi-channel environment and how marketing fits into a wider organizational context.

To become effective marketers and to allocate resources while tapping into growth opportunities, students need to understand all economic factors related to target markets, particularly those concerning emerging markets.

Politics addresses the significant issues that affect societies worldwide. Students will receive an overview of the British political system while examining some of the most complex problems faced by humanity and the ideas that underpin them.

The current teaching includes optional modules on Russian, Irish, and Middle Eastern politics, nations and nationalism, political theories, and human rights and humanitarian intervention. Topics such as illegal drugs, gender and sexuality, environmental sustainability, and surveillance are also covered.
