3-Term Pathway - International Incorporated Bachelor's (IIB) - Continue to Master of Arts (Honours) - Business Economics with Marketing and Psychology

The IS1 program is the equivalent of the first year of a four-year Scottish undergraduate degree. This pathway is designed to help students develop their academic knowledge and skills within business and economics. Participants will also focus on improving their English academic literacy in preparation for continuing onto their chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee. Studied across three terms, students will proceed directly to year two of their degree course at the University of Dundee upon completion of the pathway.

Business Economics with Marketing and Psychology

Business Economics focuses on economic concepts, theories, and principles, examining how these are applied to various business activities within organizations and across the wider business world.

Students will develop a strong understanding of the role of marketing in today’s multi-channel environment and how marketing fits within a broader organizational context.

To become effective marketers and to allocate resources while tapping into growth opportunities, individuals must understand all economic factors related to target markets, particularly those concerning emerging markets.

There are strong links between psychology and business, particularly in marketing. For example, developing a deeper understanding of the psychological behavior of consumers is essential.

Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. Topics covered in the program include how babies learn, the changes in people’s mental skills as they age, various personality types, and the dynamics of social groups. Students will also study different psychological disorders.
