Students can study the Master of Business Analytics to become a business analytics professional capable of driving growth through analytics-based solutions. The program is designed to meet industry needs, and has been developed in conjunction with Deakin University's course partners including IBM, Microsoft, Altis Consulting, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PBT Group and PwC.
This course introduces students to a range of internationally recognized business intelligence and analytics tools and has a strong focus on practical learning. They will learn how decision-making problems in business can be solved using modern modelling and solution techniques.
During the course, students will have the opportunity to complement their primary studies in business analytics with a specialisation in a wide range of business-related fields. Designed to meet current and future demands for skilled professionals with a breadth of transferrable skills, a specialisation can help deepen their knowledge in a particular business field, broadening their skills and making them more employable.
Big data concepts and issues are integrated across the curriculum, and students will have access to state-of-the-art business analytics software tools, such as IBM Cognos, Power BI, RapidMiner, Microsoft Excel and Tableau.
