Deakin International Merit Scholarship (South Asia – Onshore)

Benefits

• Scholarship covers a tuition fee reduction for the normal duration of the course.
• 20% discount on the total indicative tuition fee for applicants with a weighted average mark (WAM) between 70% and 74.9%.
• 25% discount on the total indicative tuition fee for applicants with a WAM of 75% or higher.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be a prospective international student enrolling in a coursework degree at Deakin University.
• Be a citizen of one of the following South Asian countries: India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Maldives, Mauritius, or Bhutan.
• Reside in Australia and/or be recruited by an authorised Deakin onshore agent.
• Meet the English language and academic requirements for their chosen course.
• Not have accepted any other Deakin scholarship or bursary.

Academic Eligibility

• For a 20% tuition fee reduction, applicants must have an overall equivalent WAM of 70% to 74.9% in their most recent academic studies.
• For a 25% tuition fee reduction, applicants must have an overall equivalent WAM of 75% or above.

Application Process

• All prospective international students who apply for admission to Deakin University will be automatically assessed for this scholarship.
• There is no separate scholarship application form required. Applicants will be notified of the outcome as part of their admission process.
