Bachelor of Arts - Biochemistry

Biochemistry studies the chemical processes of living organisms. Biochemical research has had a huge impact on biology and medicine in the last few decades, helping us to better understand biological structures like cells, proteins, and DNA.

This major is part of an interdisciplinary program between the biology and chemistry departments at Western. This Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry (with greater emphasis on the biochemistry fundamentals and laboratory applications) is offered via the chemistry department.
