Program Description
The Undergraduate Programs in Visual Arts at Western University are an exciting context for learning, creative action, and innovation. The programs combine the study of art history and theory with lively, contemporary art production. Western's commitment to integrating art theory with studio work from the very beginning of the program sets it apart from other schools.Western's Direct Entry into The BFA degree program has a number of exciting features that distinguish it from other programs. In the first year students can expect small classes with hands-on instruction by dynamic professional artists with national and international exhibition profiles. Students will be learning in an environment where studio and theory are brought together to form enriched artistic engagements that create the foundation for a wide variety of career options. This is the place for creative, enthusiastic, artistic, and intellectually curious applicants!
NOTE: Please note the English scores listed are minimum requirements. Meeting the minimums does not guarantee admission. Students with low English scores may be admitted to the English BOOST Program, a 9 week training program for conditional admission to their chosen program.
