About Undergraduate Foundation Program + Bachelor of Arts - English - English Teaching/Language Arts
Undergraduate Foundation Program
WSU’s Undergraduate Foundation program provides additional academic and/or English language support and personalized advising to help students smoothly transition to full university study. Students are unconditionally admitted to the university and graduate in the same amount of time as direct-entry students – they are just provided with additional support courses.
Bachelor of Arts - English - English Teaching/Language Arts
To teach English in middle school or high school, students must complete a bachelor’s degree in that subject. In addition to the classes for the declared major in English, students must complete the core professional education course work with the College of Education to earn teacher certification in that subject. The English major offers a specialization option teaching that coordinates with the teacher certification requirements.
