The New Media Communication Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program at Valencia College prepares the students to go directly into a specialized career in new media communication.
Get ready for a future in both traditional and new media fields with an A.S. degree in New Media Communication. Students will learn how to navigate new media communication platforms, and develop the appropriate business acumen and ethical sense to succeed amid the changing communication and media landscape. The program covers the technical processes of large- and small-scale communication, storytelling, journalism, and electronic content design and delivery. It also focuses on the application of emergent electronic and digital media platforms, and provides them with effective digital storytelling techniques.
