Program Description
The Psychology and Visual Arts combined degree is offered jointly through the University of Windsor's Department of Psychology and School of Creative Arts. Through this combined program, students can study topics in both areas.
The Psychology courses cover such topics as: memory, motivation, and decision making; how the attitudes and actions of an individual influences other people; the origins and treatment of mental illness; human development from birth to death; and the way cultural backgrounds shape the way humans think and behave.
Combining this with Visual Arts offers in-depth studio practices and art history combined with exhibition opportunities and exposure to the cultural institutions of Windsor and Detroit. The program includes courses in drawing, painting, print media, photography, sculpture, BioArt, film production and integrated media (digital imaging, sound and video). Individual studio space is available during Year 4.
