The Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP) offers successful students guaranteed progression to the University of Southampton. This program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at the University of Southampton.
This program includes English and three academic subject modules. There are three academic pathways to choose from and candidates will study the pathway most suited to their chosen progression degree. The pathways are: Business, Economics, Finance and Management, Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Art and Design.
The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Finance course provides a firm foundation in areas such as algebra, calculus and differential equations. It also develops the area of statistics and its importance in finance and gives a grounding in micro and macroeconomics. Students will graduate with a strong background in finance and strong quantitative skills. This could lead to a career in international banking, accountancy, the stock market, financial consultancy, government or the civil service.
