About Masters by Research

A Masters by Research (M by Res) degree involves undertaking an individual, supervised research project which student will write up as a thesis of up to 40,000 words. They will be examined on their submission and undertake a viva voce.

Student will receive academic support and guidance from their Supervision Team comprising academic experts in their field of study. They will be part of a wider Research and Innovation Group whose members share expertise and interests.

Student will receive support from the Graduate School and access to a vibrant Research and Innovation Development Programme (RIDP) which includes a mix of in-person and online events.
