4-Term Pathway - Undergraduate Foundation Program - Business - Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Politics and Economics

At ONCAMPUS Reading, students are provided with the opportunity to prepare for degree study and guaranteed progression to a variety of undergraduate degrees at the University of Reading. The program is specifically designed for international students who have completed senior secondary education, aiming to prepare them for entry into undergraduate studies at the University of Reading. Successful completion of the University Foundation Program, meeting the required level of attainment in all academic areas and achieving the necessary English language score, will automatically qualify students for progression onto an undergraduate program at the University of Reading. The University Foundation Program is set at NQF level 3, equivalent to A level standard in the United Kingdom.

The majority of programs last for one academic year, divided into three terms consisting of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, students will engage in 21 (up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

The BA Politics and Economics degree offers a comprehensive foundation in politics and economics. In politics, students will explore core and optional modules covering topics such as comparative government and politics, political theory, international relations, and contemporary democracy. In economics, students will delve into practical economic issues and the relationship between economics and society, focusing on macroeconomics, microeconomics, economic institutions, and economics of social policy.
