About Integrated Master of Engineering - Electronic and Computer Engineering (Study Abroad Year in Year 3) (H61Y)

The Electronic and Computer Engineering course provides students with the necessary engineering expertise for a career in engineering or various other professions.

During their third year, students have the opportunity to study at either the China or Malaysia campus, where they can immerse themselves in different cultures. The curriculum is identical to that of the UK, and all instruction is conducted in English. During this year, students focus on core modules and select appropriate optional modules based on their chosen subject specialisms.

All undergraduate students in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering initially follow a common program of study. They have the flexibility to switch to a different plan until the end of their third semester in the second year. Additionally, students can choose to add or remove a year abroad or a year in industry after enrolling in the course. By the third year, students can specialize in the topics that interest them and align with their career aspirations.

If a student receives an offer at the MEng level, it will also include a contextual offer for the BEng version of the course. This means that if the student does not achieve the required results to meet the MEng offer but would have met the requirements for the BEng version of their chosen course, they will automatically be offered a place on the BEng version.
