Program Description

The harp studio at the University of Hartford is a supportive community of talented, friendly harpists. Harpists at the Hartt school of music partake in and enjoy numerous courses such as Harp Ensemble, Repertoire and Studio Class and Harp Teaching Principles. Orchestral and solo opportunities are many at Hartt, with monthly opportunities to perform solos or chamber music in the Evening with Guitar and Harp concert series. Hartt harpists are encouraged to partake in as many performance, competition and growth opportunities as possible, both in school, and in the vibrant capital region of Hartford.

International Pathway Program

Students should be advised that this is the Standard 2-Semester Pathway option for this program.

The International Pathway Program (IPP) is open to students who need to strengthen their English skills before studying a degree program in the USA. The IPP offers undergraduate students the additional support needed for their first year of university study. Students’ academic, social and personal success are ensured while in the program as they prepare to continue on to their degree.

Each semester students will take a combination of Hartford academic courses (credited) and English courses (non-credit). Course options are dependent upon the required pathway. Once students have reached the required English level, they can progress to their program at the University of Hartford.
