About Standard International Pathway Program (IPP) - 2-Semester Pathway + Bachelor of Music - Instrumental Studies - French Horn

Program Description

At the University of Hartford's Hartt Music School, the horn studio creates a supportive atmosphere that offers frequent collaboration with other students and studios.

Through weekly privates lessons, and weekly studio classes, students will focus on small ensemble and solo playing. At Hartt, students will receive comprehensive musical training while developing innovative ideas and career ready skills while gaining exposure to nationally and internationally recognized musicians (recent guest artists include Gene Pokorney of CSO, Julie Landsman of The Met, Ray Mase of ABQ.)

International Pathway Program

Students should be advised that this is the Standard 2-Semester Pathway option for this program.

The International Pathway Program (IPP) is open to students who need to strengthen their English skills before studying a degree program in the USA. The IPP offers undergraduate students the additional support needed for their first year of university study. Students’ academic, social and personal success are ensured while in the program as they prepare to continue on to their degree.

Each semester students will take a combination of Hartford academic courses (credited) and English courses (non-credit). Course options are dependent upon the required pathway. Once students have reached the required English level, they can progress to their program at the University of Hartford.
