Expand knowledge of the world's ecosystems and develop strategies to address the complex issues society faces in its stewardship of the planet's resources. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science offers an emphasis on Soil, Air, and Water. Students who opt for this track gain a broad scientific understanding of the human influence on the natural world, from the molecular level to a global scale. Through work in classrooms, in labs, and in the field, students learn how to properly collect soil, water, and air samples, identify and implement appropriate analytical techniques, and interpret results. They also gain a deeper understanding of how environmental systems sustain climate, purify water, provide food and fiber, and remediate pollution.
