Program Description
Climate change and its complex and myriad effects require impactful action based on hard science. In this degree, students will develop engineered solutions to environmental problems. Explore the intricacies of the chemical, physical and hydrogeological processes of the environment with the Physical and Chemical Dynamics emphasis of the Environmental Science Bachelor of Science. The rigorous curriculum shows students how to apply scientific principles to environmental conservation, and then teaches critical problem-solving skills to help students identify ways to overcome ecological challenges. The faculty challenges students to integrate concepts from biology, chemistry and physics to comprehend how different kinds of environments: agriculture, urban, forest, wetland function as systems. Upon graduation, students are equipped to apply that understanding to the planet's most pressing issues related to soil, water, air, human health and natural resources.
