Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Law:
The law degree will appeal to students who are interested in society and how it works, and with the broader question of the regulation of inter-personal relationships. A general interest in history and political developments, will be an advantage, as the law is deeply linked to its historical and political context. However given the wide range of legal modules on offer, this degree attracts students with a broad range of interests. Studying law involves learning legal rules, and interpreting, applying and critiquing legal principles. It requires the development of the skills of argument and advocacy as well as of critical analysis and reasoning. Legal training requires the ability to think logically and critically. Precise and careful use of language, good writing skills and a facility for articulate expression are key attributes for legal scholars.
