International Foundation Programme in Law, Business, Economics, and Social Science:
The Trinity College International Foundation Programme is specifically for students who have the drive and ambition to attend a world-class educational institute but cannot begin an international undergraduate degree directly. Trinity College's International Foundation Programme is a year-long programme designed to allow students to develop the skills required to succeed and excel in a competitive university environment.
The Trinity International Foundation Programme is delivered at the campus of Trinity College’s associated college, Marino Institute of Education, where excellent student facilities and guaranteed on-site accommodation are available.
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Film Studies and History:
Film at Trinity College is built on strong academic and intellectual foundations – core courses include the history of Hollywood filmmaking, introduction to Non-Western cinemas, aspects of European cinemas, Irish cinema and theories of the digital image. Students will also be introduced to basic screenwriting and filmmaking, using the format of the writers’ room, and exploring the potential of the smartphone to create mini-dramas. Students will study documentary theory and follow this up by making a short documentary film. In third and fourth year, students will build on the fundamentals they have learnt through more advanced options, while always maintaining a balance between critical learning and practical outputs.
