Program Description
Organizations are only as good as the people who work within them. If students want to take a central role in shaping organizational culture, then this course is for them.
Students gain an understanding of the complex and changing context of human resource management (HRM), and the importance of resilience and sustainability in turbulent business environments. They develop an awareness of contemporary HRM issues in readiness for being a future-thinking practitioner with cutting-edge knowledge of human resource developments.
This course develops students' knowledge and skills as a HRM practitioner, responsible for growing an agile and ethical workforce. Students take the lead on managing the recruitment and development of employee talent within organizations, employing the right balance of staff in terms of skills and experience, and maximizing employee and organizational performance.
The applied element allows students to develop practice-based solutions to real-world problems. They take on a consultancy role, working on projects or internships, identifying opportunities and ideas, before going on to present strategic solutions to the client. Students develop personal and professional knowledge, skills and behaviours through a process of self-reflection on their practice.
