Graduates from the Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance) double degree have the opportunity to work in various areas of law, for example, as corporate lawyers, financial services advisory lawyers or dispute resolution/litigation lawyers in legal service organizations or public and private enterprises. Career development learning is scaffolder across all stages of the program.
Through the studies, students will possess an understanding of the fundamental areas of legal knowledge, the Australian legal system and its underlying principles and concepts (including international and comparative contexts), the broad theoretical basis of the law and its social context, the principles and values of justice and ethical practice in a technology impacted, evolving legal system.
Students will also develop the knowledge and skills required in the financial management of public and private enterprises through a broad-based curriculum involving highly-focused and in-depth theoretical and practical learning and professional training in economics and finance, combined with generalist business studies in statistics, accounting, marketing, management, and business IT.
