This program prepares for entry to Year 2 of an engineering-related undergraduate degree at Queen’s University Belfast. There are six specialist sub-pathways to choose from: Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
This 12-month programme includes an extra term, which will help build the academic skills and subject knowledge for study success. With a single visa for the full programme, they will save time and money, giving them a seamless pathway to Year 2 of their degree.
Key Information
- Choose from six specialist sub-pathways. The modules available will vary depending on the sub-pathway.
- The first term is academically focused, preparing students for the remainder of the International Year One.
- Continue to a degree at a university ranked world's top 200 for Engineering (Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025).
- During their pathway, gain hands-on experience through laboratory work in the university's fully equipped science labs.
- Learn from pathway teachers qualified to PhD level.
- Prepare for their degree by using industry-standard, computer-aided design and simulation tools.
- Opportunity to undertake a placement year as part of their degree with organisations such as BP Chemicals, Pfizer, Arup, AECOM, Farrans Construction, and Graham Construction.
- Complete their first year at our on-campus International Study Centre, with expert support from day one.
