About Bachelor of Science - Agriculture - Agricultural Education (BSAG)
Agricultural education majors are people interested in teaching others the skills needed to become the next generation of agricultural innovators and leaders through classroom and laboratory instruction, leadership development, and hands-on learning.
It's never been more important to understand how agriculture and natural resources impact lives through the quality and abundance of food supply, personal health, the environment, the economy and national security. The agricultural education major at OSU empowers students to become future teachers, giving them the potential to build a network of strong professionals at the local, state and national levels.
Students complete 60 hours of early field experience as they prepare to become agricultural education teachers. In addition to youth development experiences, students practice teaching in agricultural education classrooms through a 15-week off-campus student teaching experience.
