About Bachelor of Arts - Digital Film Design with Foundation
Foundation
Mediadesign University of Applied Science, in collaboration with IISC, offers a comprehensive preparatory programme for all applicants to their Bachelor's degrees. This programme is designed to enhance English language proficiency, introduce participants to topics such as Economics and/or Computer Science, and bridge any knowledge gaps to ensure full readiness for Bachelor’s studies at mdh.
For non-EU applicants, the programme also ensures that participants meet the necessary HZB (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung) requirements for admission to a higher education programme at mdh.
Key features of the programme include:
- All classes are conducted in English at the Berlin campus.
- Participants are required to complete modules in English, Computer Science, and/or Economics.
- Regular and consistent attendance at in-person classes is mandatory. However, in the event of unforeseen delays or circumstances beyond their control, participants may attend live classes online via the digital platform to prevent missing any lessons. They can then seamlessly join in-person classes afterward without missing previous sessions.
- The programme includes mid-term and final examinations, which must be passed to continue studies at MDH.
- Participants will have access to an extensive network of corporate partners, career services, and various networking events.
This preparatory programme serves as a gateway to a successful academic journey with MDH, equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their Bachelor’s studies.
Bachelor of Arts - Digital Film Design
Courses at mdh cover the complete range of film design, including virtual reality, augmented reality, VFX and even 360-degree filming. The theoretical foundation of Design is taught in lectures, but practical know-how is gained in real-life projects. Key qualifications taught over the course of student studies are, amongst others:
- Film design & staging
- Computer graphics, visualisation & typography
- 3D-modeling, animation & drafting
