The Turf and Landscape Management concentration focuses on teaching students about turfgrass and landscape management. Topics covered include plant selection, installation, maintenance, propagation, cultural practices, plant nutrition, and plant protection. Students will develop skills to manage various landscapes such as golf courses, sports fields, botanic gardens, and residential and commercial landscapes. They will also have the opportunity to intern in various positions across the country. This concentration provides a comprehensive education that prepares students for careers as athletic field managers, golf course superintendents, grounds managers, industry sales representatives, lawn care professionals, and agrichemical company employees.
