Sport is a global and expanding industry, that unites commercial, public and third sector stakeholders, there are exciting opportunities for graduates that understand the sports industry, in addition to the business, finance and management sectors.
The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Sports Management course is co-taught by the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences (currently ranked 1st in the world for sports-related subjects) and the School of Business and Economics (one of the United Kingdom's leading business schools) to equip students with vital skills in marketing, organizational management, and accounting. The course will provide students with a thorough grounding in the key strategic challenges and opportunities for sport by developing their understanding of sports organisations, sport governance, sport policy, sport marketing and sport economics.
With a strong focus on employability throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to work with Loughborough University Sport and partners on real-world business issues, take advantage the strong partnerships across sport to secure an optional year-long placement, and put theory into practice alongside elite athletes on campus via the Coach and Volunteer Academy (CVA).
