International Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to self-funded international students holding an undergraduate offer from Loughborough University.
• Applicants must select Loughborough University as their firm (first) choice through UCAS.
• Academic requirements generally include achieving AAA at A-levels (or equivalent qualifications).
• Certain programs require higher grades of A*AA, including:
  • MEng Aeronautical Engineering
  • MEng Automotive Engineering
  • MEng Mechanical Engineering
  • BSc Sport and Exercise Science
  • MSci Natural Sciences
• Academic conditions must be met in full and in one sitting (no resits).
• Scholarships are not available for Foundation programmes.

Application and Award Process

• All eligible international applicants are automatically considered based on their initial UCAS application.
• Successful candidates will be notified of their scholarship award shortly after receiving their offer from the University’s Admissions Office.
• If an applicant defers their admission to the next academic year, the scholarship award is not automatically deferred. Applicants should contact the Global Engagement Team to confirm scholarship availability for the deferred year.

• The scholarship applies only to the first year of undergraduate tuition fees.
• This award is designed to encourage and support international students demonstrating academic excellence.
• The scholarship is a competitive award and subject to meeting all eligibility and academic criteria.
