The Bachelor of Engineering - Computer and Electronic Engineering with a Foundation Year course is primarily for candidates who have not studied the prerequisite subjects needed for first year entry, or have not met their expected entrance requirements due to adverse situations, or because of their previous sport performance commitments, as well as mature students returning to education or care leavers.
The Foundation Studies programme at Loughborough University is designed to help a range of students realise their university ambitions. The streamed approach enables them to progress on to one of multiple courses within their chosen stream – giving them further time to decide which course is right for them.
Within the Engineering, mathematics and physical sciences stream, students will study Maths, Physics, Engineering Science, Computational Thinking, Creative Problem Solving and Academic, Digital & Research skills. These modules equip them with the essential skills and knowledge for any pathway in the Engineering, mathematics and physical sciences stream and provide a strong foundation required to succeed in their chosen destination degree.
