Loughborough University's Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History course has been designed in light of a unique consultation process involving current, recent and prospective students and is taught by a team of historians who have won awards and grants for their teaching excellence.
This degree spans the period from 1600 to the present, focusing mostly on the modern era. Its subject matter includes Britain and mainland Europe, but extends further afield to North America, the British Empire, Soviet Russia, South Asia, Australia and China. It begins with broad survey courses, proceeds with the history of individual countries or themes and culminates in specialist case studies. Students can also choose to study a foreign language as part of the History degree.
