This London Metropolitan University's undergraduate degree is taught by specialists in international relations, criminology and security, many of whom are internationally recognised for the quality of their work. Their teaching will be enriched by lectures from visiting practitioners, who will talk about their experience of working in the international security field and provide valuable career insight.
In London Met's course, students will critically assess current policies and practices related to national, as well as international crime control. They'll also investigate how they affect international relations and politics. Optional modules will allow students to develop specialisms in fields that interest them, including international law and order, conflict resolution and contemporary issues in criminology.
The employment prospects are central to every module, therefore in the second and final years, students will have the opportunity to complete a work placement module. In the past, students have completed placements within a wide range of institutions, such as aid agencies, think-tanks and embassies.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
