London Metropolitan University's Criminology BSc (Hons) course will delve into the causes and effects of crime and criminal behaviour. It will develop students' understanding of criminological theories in the context of specialist areas including organised crime, youth violence, terrorism and security. Students will also look in-depth at the criminal justice system including the police, judiciary and prisons, examining the concepts of justice and sentencing.
This degree will give students a strong grasp of research methods and expose them to social, political, ethical and historical aspects of criminology. Through optional modules in the second and third year, students will begin to specialise in areas including crime and media, victims of crime, counter-terrorism, gender and sexuality.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
