London Metropolitan University's Visual Communication: Graphic Design course will allow students to develop a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to their practice as a visual communicator whose specialist expertise lies in graphic design.
With an emphasis on research, experimentation and creative risk-taking, the course will empower students to graduate as professional practitioners at the forefront of their field. Students will leave the course with a clear sense of their own role as a designer in the world.
During this master’s degree in graphic design, students will find theory and practice meet and inform one another as they implement an interconnected approach to research and design. In turn, this will help students to refine their portfolio of professional-level work and thus demonstrate their advanced problem solving, creativity and critical thinking skills.
This course will expand students' critical thinking abilities through design practices, which will enable them to work both speculatively and on fully realised outcomes. An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
